Armotraz Anastrozole Tablet, which belongs to a class of medications called Nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. It contains Anastrozole and is highly effective in treating breast cancer in postmenopausal women. This medicine is highly beneficial for women who could not benefit from medicines like tamoxifen. It functions by inhibiting the enzyme Armotraz, which is responsible for converting androgens into estrogens.

- Dosage: The recommended dose for the medicine is is one tablet per day. For patients suffering from advanced stage of breast cancer, medicine should be continued until tumor progression
- Precautions and warnings:
- Not recommended for allergic patients and for those who consume estrogen in form of birth control pills or have undergone hormone replacement therapy
- Not suitable for patients who are yet to go through menopause
- Doctor consultation is suggested, if the patient has a history of suffering from osteoporosis, high cholesterol level or other liver/heart diseases
- The medicine can cause harm to the foetus, so not recommended for pregnant women
- Interaction with other drugs
- Estrogen (present in birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy) or tamoxifen decrease the effect of Armotraz
- Side effects: back bone, breast, joint, or pelvic pain; Constipation, cough and diarrhea; Dizziness, flu-like symptoms (muscle aches, tiredness), headache, hot flashes, loss of appetite and nausea; sore throat, stomach pain or upset, sweating, tingling or burning sensation and troubled sleeping; vaginal dryness, vomiting, weakness and weight gain; severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing or swallowing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); calf pain, swelling, or tenderness, chest pain, dark urine, depression, frequent or painful urination; mental or mood changes, numbness of an arm or leg, one-sided weakness, red, swollen and blistered; peeling skin; severe or persistent bone pain and shortness of breath, speech problems
